Rabbi Dr. Nitai Melamed is a religious therapist who was raised and educated in "Chevron" style Yeshivos. He currently serves as clinical director of the therapist training program at the Michlala in Bayit Vegan, teaches therapy and meditation at Bar Ilan University, at North Texas University and lectures widely. Rabbi Dr. Melamed has delivered courses and continuing education classes to various groups including Bais Yaacov seminary principals, Rabbis in Chadorim, Dayanim (Rabinnic Judges), and at various institutions of higher learning such as Bais Rivka among others. Rabbi Dr. Melamed has treated individuals and couples in the religious community, both in Israel and around the world, for almost 20 years.
Previous lectures and speaking engagements have covered topics such as 1.parental authority, 2.communication in marriage, 3.developing empathy, 4.marriage education, 5. and dealing with physical challenges, among others.
• Pyschodrama as an educational or therapeutic tool: The Lecture includes an introduction to psychodrama and includes an experiential learning component.
• Techniques to develop motivation in children: The lecture deals with various methods of increasing motivation in children and adults. The course is designed to be useful for families, employers, educators, and anyone with managerial or leadership responsibilities.
• Effective Conflict Resolution: The lecture introduces techniques for effective negotiation and resolution of conflict. Communication tools are enhanced as participants gain a deeper understanding of the underpinnings of conflict development.
• Compatibility in Marriage; How to Choose a Spouse: In this class, participants are introduced to the basic theories of compatibility in marriage. Students learn in what ways spouses must be alike, how their differences can complement each other, and how various personality and character attributes affect the quality of the relationship.
